Not sure he wanted to be that far back and do you seriously think he would have beaten the first 2. Only just held on to third but that was the best place they could have hoped for.

Not sure what your point is. Of course you don't make that decision before a race but as the race unfolds you do. He was never able to go the pace so sit back, keep some petrol in reserve and pick them off. Quilixios was clearly third best but he was never going to get home at that pace.

pundits said it was a great ride because it was premeditated let the others chase expected fast pace,pick up pieces ,never put in race with chance of winning but handicapped for finishing place in grade 1,worst of both worlds i,d have thought
