Sounds a pretty easy way to get a void bet up. For those who bonus abuse. Bet one bet builder get one free. I mean for the first one

Wow. That’s taking stupidity to new levels. It’s so easy to adjust the pay out.

For Soccer Bet Builders which include any player markets, if your specified player does not start the match then selections will be made void and the odds of the Bet Builder will be recalculated for the remaining selections e.g. if your chosen Goalscorer does not play, that selection will be made void and the Bet ...

B365 rules. They aren’t daft. Let the bet run and recalculate the odds. As it should be.

I'm sure the casual punters who go into my social club, who all like a bet builder for an interest in watching the match, are unaware of this rule
Must be loads of sleepers in the shops?

A huge amount. Who’d know you could get five out six selections wrong, one non runner and get your stake back. It’s still something I don’t believe until I see it with my own eyes. Five winners and void I could believe they’d return your stake!!!

Interesting thread.

Have to say i didn't mind betbuilders, my general criteria would be 2 evenly matched teames ie both 7/4 or along that lines, 5 selections, say over 2 goals, 3/4 corners each,3/4 shots on target each, normally about a 3/1/4/1 acca.
It came up often but the 1 leg leaving you down and a free bet was the pull of the bet for me,that concession has been done away with by Paddys and replaced with 'super sub'in top games. That is a major downgrade and since Betbuilders have no appeal now.

I agree with posts saying the true odds in some BB's were a lot more and good that has been pointed out.

With PP's i am fairly sure that only Haalands leg would have been void and the other 7 legs would have run.

Increasing costs on operators = less value for punters = more irresponsible gambling.  Not rocket science

Operators had to increase margins given decline in play from VIPs and AC. So BOG went from most, ruthless cutting of sharp players. Push to Betbuilders and even racing margins increased etc.. Right now Paddy Power just want you to come deposit 50£ weekly and bet that on betbuilders. Its no risk for them for fines from UKGC and for you winning. Betbuilders are just like a long drawn out casino game. Betting or trading as an intellectual or skilled challenge is rapidly declining.

That Liverpool betbuilder with the 13 odds on this thread.
To get that up you're more or less looking @ a score draw.
1-1 ,2-2 & 3-3 were 48s,55s & 140s on here for that game.
Any other draw 540.

You'd think with all the bad value about it would drive more people to the exchange for the better value, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

Most people who gamble are very bad at it.

The exchange is only good value for singles.

In the size most people bet, if the selections aren't taking place at the same time, you can bet them like multiples, and at the same time not be persuaded to cash out at worse odds than the odds you've already taken

When BetVic brought in their version of BetBuilder they had a competition where the biggest odds bet landed each week won £5k with several runners up prizes. I used to sit there for a couple of hours every week putting on several thousand bets covering all possible combinations of match odds, corners, and cards. I think I won the £5k three times plus a few £k in runners up prizes before they pulled the promo.

Nice one jamee
I should imagine less than 1% of people put in little if any effort in researching

That's not to detract from you winning, btw

Fair play to you, Jamee. A bit of thinking outside the box.

beware anything peddled by the bookies on their adverts.

"ahh luv a betbuilder"  no you don't.

don't see too many adverts with "ahh luv a bad each-way double" ....

"ahh luv taking 5/1 at the bookies when it's 5.7 to lay on Betfair" ... nope Plain

Another free one from 'sly': Liverpool/Liverpool; both teams to score. The odds is 11/4.

United are woeful but that makes 3-1 to Liverpool the lowest aggregate score.

Liverpool is a slow starter. I think they've tended to concede a goal most of the time.

Ahh. Thought that was to win both halves. Not too bad then to win and concede.

That still wouldn’t be the case. ^^

I’m being a bit thick tonight. Liverpool have to be winning at half time, have to concede, also have to win the game.
