Why do gelded horses run better? They should run slower with less testosterone.

Less weight to carry.

They don't have to run with 2 footballs between their hind legs. The usual reason for gelding though is so that the horse can be trained without killing the groom. Some entires can be easily handled at any age but many can't.

I assume then that Udedizzy was gelded but I can't remember myself.
