Thanks Simon. I had a look  at your  Newbury  report  on Saturday  could not believe  the firm  took less than a hundred  in the first.
Hope you are well.
Ronnie.

Jimnast.
Very  sad to say the days of JP betting  one With Freddie  to win one that would pay off the national  debt  are long gone no doubt  you will recall  the race.
Hope  you are well.
Ronnie.

How did it go on ribero
Report ribero1 March 25, 2024 7:52 PM GMT
Hi Jimnast,I only know because knew the old boy well who worked for Freddie,George Johnston,he used to tell Ricky all the businessGrin, yes funny how Jonjo who quite rightly gets plenty of stick could get it right when they really meant it,without checking don't think the horse did much after? Presumably heading for Newcastle Friday?
Report jimnast March 25, 2024 7:57 PM GMT
Yes going to Newcastle Thursday breaking the journey by going to wetherby where you can pronounce the jonjo horses name
Report ribero1 March 25, 2024 8:15 PM GMT
Yes see you there, could be a few runners for a change, lovely to get back to proper fields and competitive racing at Donny.
Report jimnast March 25, 2024 8:46 PM GMT

Report ribero1 March 25, 2024 9:00 PM GMT

Ar Muin Na Muice
------------

Means "On the Pig's Back" in Irish, the white knuckle bets are nowhere near as common these days with the advent of the exchanges.
Report jimnast March 25, 2024 9:16 PM GMT
Thanks for that punchestown ribero can now say on the pigs back when I ask him to pronounce it on Thursday.

Regarding the white knuckle bets Freddie might as well of wrote the bet on the back of his hand rather than putting it in the book as he would have struggled to bet up to it.
Report jimnast March 25, 2024 9:19 PM GMT
Even on the exchanges you would never get a bet like that the big Australian punter dipped his toes in laying on here around 15 years ago possibly longer but soon left with his tail between his legs.
