If I had to choose one song to the exclusion of everything else it would be Dear Prudence.

I consider the Beatles cover of Siouxie & The Banshees original Dear Prudence to be inferior. 3 best imho A Day in the Life, I am the Walrus, Helter Skelter. I was privileged to be in my 20s witnessing the progress of the group that was once the support act to Helen Shapiro.

And Sinatra said "Something" by George Harrison was the best love song ever written.
|
|
By:
Great compliment as Frank hated the modern stuff at the time.
... he told me that himself. |
|
By:
Sinatra was a true superstar and a true legend. He sang Something in a lot of his live shows and recorded it many times. Greatest love song ever wrote according to Sir Frank.
..... When I say told me, I mean he told the audience, not me personally one to one conversation ![]() |

Come together was certainly not about Madam Olga's establishment in Kings Cross London where the customers always come first.

A bit about it here...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Come_Together Lawsuit In late 1969, "Come Together" was the subject of a copyright infringement claim brought against Lennon by Big Seven Music, the publisher of Chuck Berry's "You Can't Catch Me".[45] Morris Levy, the owner of Big Seven Music, contended that it sounded similar musically to Berry's original and shared some lyrics (Lennon sang: "Here come ol' flattop, he come groovin' up slowly", and Berry's had sung: "Here come a flattop, he was movin' up with me"). Before recording, Lennon and McCartney deliberately slowed the song down and added a heavy bass riff in order to make the song more original.[46] The case was settled out of court in 1973, with Levy's lawyers agreeing that Lennon would compensate by recording three Big Seven songs for his next album.[47] A brief version of "Ya Ya" with Lennon and his son Julian was released on the album Walls and Bridges in 1974. "You Can't Catch Me" and another version of "Ya Ya" were released on Lennon's 1975 album Rock 'n' Roll, but the third, "Angel Baby", remained unreleased until after Lennon's death. Levy again sued Lennon for breach of contract, and was eventually awarded $6,795. Lennon countersued after Levy released an album of Lennon material using tapes that were in his possession and was eventually awarded $84,912.96. The album was called Roots: John Lennon Sings the Great Rock & Roll Hits.[48] |

That's right slicer, you probably saw same program as me. Sinatra heard her singing it and had to record it himself. From a film she did with Robert De Niro, apparently he chose it for the theme tune to the film.
