Not Kim Bailey or Nicholls daughter, but the man who looks like a tramp at the other end of the sofa ?
I dont know who he is, but he looks like he hasn't washed for a week and been sleeping in his scruffy, dirty looking clothes.  Yuk !

Neil Channing, lol, always looks like that. Pro punter, pro poker player, ex bookie, gravy train employee, quite intelligent though.

I like him and is quite an interesting bloke, much better than most of the boring people they have on.

In Victoria Coren's brilliant poker book For Richer Or Poorer I'm pretty sure he is the player described as The Chimney Sweep, good description!

Left wing grifter, you could have had his Cheltenham tips for £180

Ha ha, thank you.  I had heard of him but had no idea who he was.

Yes Doorman,  chimney sweep is a very good description.  With danger of sounding like Victor Meldrew which I'm not - surely you would have a shave and put a shirt on to go on the telly ?
I've seen tramps better dressed.  haha

Probably the most interesting guest he'll have on for some time.

Spot on.

And if you ever do see a poker-pro wearing a suit - it's probably not going too well imo!

Nick Luck should get Y@tes, Channing and 'Nevo' all on at the same time. What's the collective noun for champagne socialists?

Did you not watch the Sunday broadcast of LoS? Plenty of politics discussed on the show, Luck doing his best Paxo with the minister for gambling. Usual sly comments from Channing. So maybe take the sarcasm and place it where the sun don't shine.

I don't think I've ever seen Channing on one of these shows where he hasn't somehow crow barred his political proclivities into the chat.

The collective noun for such people is a livid.

There was a lovely bloke on the program a few weeks ago , well groomed , smartly dressed and really looked the part.

May as well have been deaf & dumb for all he contributed.

You're going to need to show me where I've posted my political views on this thread. The thread is about Channing and I've commented on his. He's hardly hiding them under a bushel. The OP commented about his attire, and I am explaining it. Directly connected to his brand of politics.

He just can't resist and hang on for a minute or two and he'll start talking about covid.

it's like dumb and dumber, sparrow. Channing has literally been sitting on that sofa adorned with Labour supporting t shirts. I sense, that may be political. At least, he wants everyone watching to know where his politics are. What do you reckon?
By:
sparrow

I couldn't care less about his politics as he is not there to discuss them.  Go and watch your GB News or whatever they call it.

It's WHY he looks like a tramp on the show. The OP was about that. Would you prefer a dot to dot ?
By:
Cider
When: 19 Mar 24 20:52
Any in any case, politics is exactly WHY he is currently being invited on. As he is supposedly an expert on the political machinations of gambling reform. So the fact he is extremely, unashamedly politically biased is absolutely relevant.

Cider, absolutely spot on,a few months ago Luck posted a pic of them pre show with Channing with an ordinary T shirt on,when the show started he'd changed it one with a silly political message on it,can only assume he knows where some bodies are buried as for all I know he might be the best poker player ever but his racing knowledge is limited to say the least.

I have never seen or heard anything about him apart from when he is on Luck on Sunday. He has some sensible views at times but he is there to fill a woke spot-not a trainer, owner or jockey therefore willing to be critical but he is on far too often.

You lot never learn! Even your beloved BBC had to say sorry for calling people far right yesterdayLaughLaugh

Your a typical far left, now calling your own bbc crap you really couldn't make it up and thinking there's not 24 hours in a day.

Conclusion: Far left, do one of 3 things, take all you can of GOV: be in a union all your life and pretend you care about others or go on marches and cause chaos for the people who want to try and pay taxes for their country.

I guess your number 2, probably done number 3 and wishing you were number 1.
