Wish I was at the moment FOYLESWAR, I live in Lancashire just a few miles north of Southport. Was in The Caribbean a few weeks ago which I try to do every winter. Next outing is the April meeting at Cheltenham, too busy for my liking this week.
On the Art subject I bought a print of "13th of the players club" by Jack Russell. After Ian Botham had helped in his Testimonial year he had a print made from the original and painted Lord Botham putting on it. It is titled "Beefy on the 13th" and signed by JR on the front. A lovely personal letter from Russell to Lord Botham is in the original envelope on the back of the painting. nice story with the beefy picture ,about 15 years ago i bought an oil painting from a carboot ,it looked as if a young kid had painted it very amatureish looking but it did seem to have something about it and was signed william winter paid £8 for it kept it for a few years and put it in a local auction house it made £465 a nice result , good luck barstool !
