No, I remember Sid going. They named the World Championship Trophy after him when he went. Wonder if Tony will get something similar.

Sid famously coined the phrase " More pri@ks than a second hand dartboard" when Hayden said "Relentless" on a Rico thread!!!

Used to compere a lot of the big exhibition events in the late 70s and throughout the 80s. A true gent and always came across as a good guy. RIP Mr Green.

Sad news, golden era for darts. My geography was on Bullseye. She wasn't the best tho.
Sid Waddell knew his darts. About 20 yr ago, there was nowt going on racing with a freezing snap, so Chapman had him on the "Get On" ATR morning show. Tipped up Jelle Klaasen 125/1 and I think MVG at massive price for the BDO (maybe a diff Dutch Van), Klaasen beats Barney in the final, and if it was MVG he was some judge of young talent.
