Why would you back a 1/3 shot that will be seeing stars if the opponent lands one decent punch on his boat? Rico-Dangleflaps 08 Mar 24 17:45 boxer v non boxer. stick to your fantasy prophets tobymugs ydc. |

Fairplay to Joshua he proved it in this one.
Still don't understand how he got dominated by Usyk though... |
By:
dont think he wanted back then and he imploded after that loss..looks in better shape body & soul now..but lets not forget..he's just beaten a bloke thats never won a boxing match.
By:
Usyk's a great fighter, but a light heavyweight.
By:
Usyk is a phenomenally skilled boxer. Francis is a brute but a very limited boxer.
By:
Yep, don't get me wrong, I'd rate Usyk amongst the greatest fighters of all time.
By:
More what surprised me against Joshua was the level of dominance he managed against a far bigger fighter.
By:
Cracking KO,Fury looked a bit stunned with that performance.
By:
Sounds like a very convincing win.

Ngannou, a feted former mixed martial arts heavyweight champion. Says it all for me.
By:
well didn't wait long for the evens to pay out.

People saying Ngannou is not a boxer - strictly true, but two points on that.
He managed to 'box' perfectly well against Fury (a world champion) Boxing is a part of the MMA skillset, though not all of course. No sure he was a complete non-boxer given that. |
By:
Very decent result for Joshua IMO - if he did face Fury, would be a very interesting fight now.
By:
Or even a rematch with Usyk...

Well done the betfair forum - I think every single post (apart from the 1 saying it doesn't start at 610) is wrong from an opinion and a betting side (save 1 poster). well done. impressive for you lot.

thank you

Yes pre match rico was only one who was really correct.
Though he also posted he only had 50p on it. I was a 'no bet' pre fight, so claiming that as a half win. ![]() |

The heavyweight division of the sport is just a shadow of it what it once was.

I find it quite interesting though sparrow - quite a few challenging, Usyk, Fury, now Joshua and even fighters like Parker coming back up.
Next few fights (big ones) could be very interesting. Fury v Usyk is hard to find a favourite looking at market. Wouldn't write of Joshua coming back. There's no one totally dominant which is a bit like middleweights in the 80s a great period. |
By:
Biggest thing that seems to have changed in heavyweights is lack of top US fighters - there's more British!
By:
I'm afraid I don't rate any heavyweight of the present era stu but people seem happy to watch and pay so why worry. Inn my view none of them would have lasted very long against Lennox Lewis.
By:
Always really hard to compare across eras - when they never meet directly.
It's like the old Tyson vs Ali debate, which will never be decided... |
By:
I don't see the current crop of heavyweights in the same class as such as Tyson, Ali, Lewis and I could go on about the champions of the past I've seen right back to Marciano.
