Came within a heartbeat of buying a share in Oddschecker 16yrs ago for a bargain £80k from an extremely trustworthy betting partner ( co-founder ), refused the deal and turned out to be not one of my better decisions.
£80k 16 years ago was a lot of money for most people and lots of similar investments will have gone south . I tend to remember more shares that I've sold that have gone up than the ones that are worth a lot less now. You do what you think is right at the time.

Anyone using service websites every day with their adblockers switched on might want to think about whether they might look for ways to make their enterprise worthwhile. And I include myself in that.
You should NEVER turn your ad blocker off. Actually Ublock Origin can stop malware and phishing attacks. Attackers take over adverts on websites (even trustworthy ones) and implement their own malicious code. Also on mobile phones ad blockers can save some battery life , and video ads can eat your bandwidth.
I also enjoy CLEAN, orderly pages with an ad blocker. Not only that ad blockers protect you from ads that collect chunks of data from cookies, ads can use tracking tools to keep an eye on you at all times. Your interests, worries, secrets, every action you take online — is logged and exposed for everybody willing to pay for it. Your data can be leaked, making you an easy target for hackers and governments. Ad blockers disarm advertisers, keeping your data private and everybody else clueless.
