Grand National, a lottery race? I think the horse is the main component eg Red Rum and Tiger Roll
Mr Fox rode a race only he'd understand ie a front runner in 3m+ races chose to give the leader a 12l lead tracking in 3rd of 4 runners. Bizarre!

The horse is not at all desirous 0f winning races any more, as posted on an earlier thread. It is as simple as that. Add to that the stable orders and mug punters misreading its last run, losing their dosh and we end up with this stupid thread.

Jockey coach or not it was an injudicious ride. I think deep down even connections were disappointed unless Ahoy Senor was never ridden to win!
Whichever, it was "cheating" the punters!

Sad really. That's the state of jump racing here at the moment; punters regularly getting cheated without any redress or action taken by the BHA. I think the connections of Ahoy Senor and L'Homme Presse ought to have been fined for not running to win.
A soft lead at the start then extended to a 12l advantage after a circuit was clear evidence the race was "managed" and not straight. As such, it is bad for jump racing.

I don`t think it was fixed but Williams and Russell clearly didn`t have any intentions on winning that race, if they did why didn`t they say they were disappointed with the rides their horses got ?
