His Jockeypedia entry has a great line from the BHA Licensing Committee:-
The BHA’s licensing committee noted “a number of positive developments with regard to Mr Ferris’s character”, accepted his evidence as honest and revealed that he had asked for a meeting with security department officials in 2012 at which he shared information relating to his offences. However, the committee concluded that it was “not satisfied that Mr Ferris’s integrity would remain intact if it were challenged again in a racing environment”.

Darren Egan was still an apprentice when he got banned for 12 years.
"It can of course be said on Egan's behalf that he was relatively young, that he was still an apprentice, and that the corruption was initiated and pushed forward by Mr Langford.

Feargal Lynch has been riding in the States since sometime in 2015. Tends to finish in the top 50 or so but not really a top rider. Hasn't ridden there since November though and I'm not sure why.

Given he was doing well as an apprentice and presumably making a few quid, what was going on here?
Most people need money, but most refrain from engaging in activities that could destroy them.
