Perhaps you are looking at the wrong end of the telescope. As so few people look at the appropriate forum for Bloodstock, Politics, ante post etc, many people post on horse racing as they know that it has most of the attention. It is sad that the chit chat is not available to move a lot of non racing posts elsewhere.
As for the topic, cheese is fourth on the list of things to do with milk after fresh milk, cream and butter so if milk is in relatively short supply, cheese prices tend to go up fastest but at the moment, milk prices are falling so cheese will follow but only a few months later. |

I don't know why people care about the price of basic food so much. Famous example "when a grocery store dropped their price for margarine from 89 cents to 71 cents, sales improved 65%. But when they dropped it from 71 cents to 69 cents, sales rose 222%!"
Do hundreds of millions of people actually look at margarine and think "71 cents is too much, I will rather eat dry bread every day, but I would love to buy three tubs for 69 cents each" The horse equivalent would be backing at 2.00 because it's a cert but not backing at 1.98 because that's too short. |
