talking nonsense...

a highly predictable boringly unfunny and pathetic response...
it's what i expected tho... as long as you ain't affected it doesn't happen (as always). |

Looks the same as usual when I check back using GPS records. Perhaps your pictures Hibby?
|
|
By:
bf susp 3:45 3.6 secs after off on drone.
|
|
By:
happened every race 'jamee'...
normally it's a case of them letting the horses hit the winning post and then the suspend goes up... definitely early today... and believe it or not my BLV has been fine at Lingfield today. |
|
By:
Same as usual Hibby. I can compare the timestamp of when the winner crosses the line on GPS vs a timestamp of when BF suspend the market.
Perhaps your pictures are a little slower than usual today making it look like BF are suspending earlier than usual? |
|
By:
that can be the only possibility then 'jamee'...
does seem strange tbh... maybe to stabilise the ATR BLV they have slowed the feed down ? wouldn't surprise me tbh... but the end suspend is definitely faster than normal (which isn't great tbh)... especially as i am already miles behind drone users... not to mention the GPS lovely human beings. |
|
By:
its been suspending early for the finish all afternoon for me too hibby
|
|
By:
thanx for confirming that kjansch.

What browser are you both using for the stream?
|
|
By:
back to normal for last race here...
interesting. |
|
By:
suspended on bf wen hit line on drone..blv 25yds out.
|

BF were about a second slower than usual to suspend there for me.
Almost 3 secs after GPS hitting the line to suspension. Almost 1 second from BFL hitting the line to suspension. |

some weird and wonderful things going on today imv...
can't quite put my finger on it... things just look a little odd to me (even on RTV tracks)... mmm. |
|
By:
clicked on too many things today...
only to be disappointed... it's as if they knew i'd clicked and it triggered a 'cancel' domino effect. |
|
By:
but obviously as it's peer to peer that couldn't happen.

That tells you how far behind live you are. Betting will suspend as they cross the line in real time.
It’s the same as all the football games on Sky. Betting companies have already suspended the betting five or six seconds before we see the goal in on our screens. |

Betting will suspend as they cross the line in real time.
------------------------------------------------------- No... it doesn't kenbo. |
|
By:
if they put the end of race suspend when the horses actually crossed the line in 'real' time...
my ATR races would be suspending at least 25 yards (or thereabouts) before the winning post. |
|
By:
When then?
|
|
By:
they NORMALLY put the end suspend up as they cross the line on BLV...
they were doing it early today... about 5 yards early imv. |
|
By:
Five yards is well under a second.

Betfair doesn't suspend in real time as they cross the line ffs...
what planet do you live on Mr.Hunt...? if that was the case ATR races would be suspended with 25 yards or so still to go on BLV... we've had this conversation before... they suspend via BLV... strangely yesterday at Lingfield they were suspending early... anyone who thinks they put the end of race suspend up as they pass the post in real time is an utter idiot... ask 'jamee' if you don't believe me. |

Same as usual Hibby. I can compare the timestamp of when the winner crosses the line on GPS vs a timestamp of when BF suspend the market. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- so if they pop the end of race suspend up as they cross the line in real time then both timestamps from 'jamee' will be the same on ATR tracks... are they 'jamee' ? |

BF were about a second slower than usual to suspend there for me. Almost 3 secs after GPS hitting the line to suspension. Almost 1 second after BFL hitting the line to suspension. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mr.Hunt says you are a liar 'jamee'... he says the end of race suspension is when they cross the line in real time. |

By:
The timing of suspend can fluctuate, although I've noticed it's much more consistent with UK compared to US races. The fluctuation suggests to me it's very likely done manually by someone watching a stream of the race. On average I would say suspend on UK tracks most typically occurs as they cross the line on BFL feed which, as we know, is about 0.6 secs behind live at RMG tracks and about 1.5 secs behind live at ATR tracks.
I suspect they have access to alternative 'clean' streams from the track because management of races usually remains in place when the BFL streams fail. These alternative streams may or may not have different latencies to BFL. |

jamee...
your 10:55 post is exactly spot on... i will leave it to Mr.Hunt to offer an apology for saying you were a liar. |
|
By:
jamee...
today at Lingfield... any chance you can post the GPS finish line stamp... and the ATR BLV end of race suspend stamp... race by race... just so we can compare... thank you. |

1st race:
GPS (TPD via 3rd party) 13:18:19.82 BFL 13:18:21.79 Suspend 13:18:23.16 |
|
By:
3.34 secs after they go past the post in real life the end of race suspend goes up...
thank you for that jamee. |

That was quite a late suspend, about a second later than typical. In line with the last race yesterday.
I found a more accurate piece of review software: Race 1: 13:18:19.73 - GPS (TPD via 3rd party) 13:18:21.80 - BFL 13:18:22.95 - suspend |
|
By:
2nd race:
13:47:19.17 - GPS (TPD via 3rd party) 13:47:20.87 - BFL 13:47:22.40 - suspend |
|
By:
similar to race 1 jamee...
having been here for a long time i would say the first two races today and the last yesterday are what i would call 'normal' tbh... apart from the last race they were suspending early yesterday for sure. |
|
By:
jamee where are you hetting the blv and official susp times from?

jamee where are you hetting the blv and official susp times from? Recording video on my PC with a stopwatch running for 100th second timing. |

similar to race 1 jamee... having been here for a long time i would say the first two races today and the last yesterday are what i would call 'normal' tbh... apart from the last race they were suspending early yesterday for sure. Assuming it's done manually from a video feed, it just depends on who's on 'suspend duty' and how fast their stream is I suppose. |
