The Novice Races At The Festival

After Marine Nationale's flop yesterday, the hurdles and chases look more open than I can remember. I had Ballyburn as the meeting's one good thing in the Ballymore, but my guess is that Mullins will continue to run him over the wrong trip. Before yesterday the Arkle field was likely single figures, now it would no surprise if a few more decided to take their chance, and no reason why we shoudn't get bigger fields than usual in the other novice races. Bookmakers have already had a few results, and they will be rubbing their hands at the lack of shorties.
