Two asylum seekers caught attacking police on video have been jailed after appearing at Canterbury Crown court.
They were seen taking part in a mob attack on French police in Calais, who were trying to stop them fleeing across the Channel in a small boat to the UK. Footage released by the Home Office, shows the UK-funded gendarmes being attacked with rocks, driftwood and other makeshift weapons on the beach on 16th June 2023. The officers, some of who suffered injuries, were unable to prevent the vessel from launching. It was later intercepted in UK waters and two of those onboard and involved in the violent attack – Salih Taib Abdullah, 33, and 25-year-old Ahmed Omar Saleh Khater – have now been jailed for 14 months and 12 months respectively. They both admitted an offence of attempting to arrive in the UK without valid entry clearance. Isn’t this the same offence that all asylum seekers arriving via the Channel could be charged with? Consultation between the French and UK authorities however led to Iraqi national Abdullah and Khater, from Sudan, being identified and then arrested by officers from the Home Office’s Criminal and Financial Investigations (CFI) unit as they reached Dover. After the sentencing hearings, Charlie Eastaugh, director of international operations for the small boats operational command at the Home Office, said “We will not tolerate violence against our French partners, particularly by those attempting dangerous and illegal small boat launches which threaten the border security of the UK”. UK citizens are now questioning that if so much effort can be used to locate two individuals crossing the Channel in a dinghy with 49 other people, why are so many left to arrive on UK shores unattended? |

They attacked french police, in France, so we wait for them to get to the UK to be arrested. Prosecute them here, not for the violence in France, but for entering the UK illegally. I have absolutely no doubt they will still be here, living it up on the rest of us.

The father, stepmother and uncle of a 10-year-old girl whose body was found at her Surrey home have pleaded not guilty to her murder.
Urfan Sharif, 42, Beinash Batool, 29, and Urfan's brother, Faisal Malik, 28, are accused of killing Sara Sharif, who was found dead in Woking on 10 August. All three have also denied causing or allowing the death of a child. The defendants, who lived with Sara before she died, appeared by video link at the Old Bailey to enter their pleas. Mr Sharif, Ms Batool and Mr Malik travelled to Islamabad, Pakistan, with Sara's five brothers and sisters on 9 August, the day before her body was found. A previous court hearing was told police found Sara's body after receiving a call from Pakistan, which lasted eight minutes and 34 seconds, at 02:47 on August 10. The three adults were arrested on their return to the UK on 13 September and were charged two days later. |

A man stabbed to death a nine-year-old girl as she played in the street last summer, a jury has concluded.

By:
yes..by bitcoin.
|
|
By:
you think it's easy taking a one handed photo with a needle in your arm connected to a blood bag when you are told not to move much Mr.Hunt ?
i took a perfectly reasonable picture under the circumstances... you refused to pay a charity... scandalous tbh. |
|
By:
the photo is on Mr.Hunt's 'crypto kaput' thread which i have bumped up.
|
|
By:
and it was actually £500 and not 5k (so i got that wrong but i admit my mistakes unlike some).
|
|
By:
i knew there was no chance of a bet being honoured ,tbh i dont need a few hundred quid whereas a charity might ,anyways when someone is offering way over the odds on a subject they know fook all about ,(granted i know fook all myself about the way police work in these investigations )but id like to think i know a bit about odds relating to chances then its my instinct to have a go. this is the racing expert millionaire gambler " daddy of the forum " who called me a khoont a few years back for putting up a 33/1 winner which drifted out from 12/1 which i advised BOG .............ill say no more on the subject and let the forum decide who the khoont is here .

Rico-Dangleflaps Dec 23 09:57
more unsubstantiated nonsense.. take a pic with the blood bag attached to the needle in your arm and i'll donate £500 to the IJF. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- lies...lies...and more lies. |
|
By:
You can't even shame the low life into paying up for a charity, I knew after him losing to me dozens of times there was no chance but not honouring a bet he solicited is beyond to worst of acts withing gambling. Guarantee he would have hounded Foyles for the £10 had the bet lost, worse than StewB and that is a very low bar.
£280 Shafter, PAY UP!!! |
