With job titles as they are these days - he is probably a removal man!
Report FOYLESWAR • January 28, 2024 8:44 PM GMT
good one management but why cant they have a bunch of contestants who could do with a few quid !
Report FOYLESWAR • January 28, 2024 8:49 PM GMT
i would rather see a cleaner on a low wage win a whack than these chinless wonders who dont need the dough.

I guess successful people are more broadly educated than skint types, in general.

They are on The Chase every night bragging about their great professional careers and they are all as thick as *****. Doctors and Teachers are the dumbest.
Report CROPSICK • January 29, 2024 10:00 AM GMT
You're right there MM with the numbest being teachers.
Report scrabbler • January 29, 2024 10:15 AM GMT
Aren't the dumbest those who never get past fastest finger stage? Last night only 17% of the audience thought that England had beaten Argentina in a World Cup Finals tournament. Bobby Charlton, Gordon Banks... must be turning in their garves.
Report CROPSICK • January 29, 2024 10:39 AM GMT
Trouble with that question Scrabbler about 50% of audience are female so most wouldnt know, how many are interested in football and then how many really know about the 66 finals so most woul be guessing anyway.
Report scrabbler • January 29, 2024 11:03 AM GMT
A fair point Cropsick. I'd like to know how contestants are chosen these days - presumably by interview. Originally, entry was by being randomly picked after correctly answering a question on a premium-rate phone line. As with most quizzes then, Millionaire and Mastermind for example, there were very few women contestants. Now it seems inevitable that programmes like Millionaire and The Chase have an equal mix of men/women, plus the obligatory ethnic mix.

ITV give too much cash to pinky and perky (ant&dec) doubt the viewers will see another millionaire…

Check out the questions on the chase ffs…..23 year olds getting questions about the sixties ffs

remember the 66 one against the animals, remember the recent one in a one nil win south africa maybe
but when/what was the 3rd one ?

Think that's what they want more time talking less time giving money away
Report 1st time poster • January 29, 2024 2:34 PM GMT
they should start with £4,000 level of ?,s and increase the prizemoney to £2 million +,and get rid of the ridiculous ?,s up to a grand,
we,ll get bigger payouts and more contestants as they,d fail earlier
its past its sell by date in current format, merge changes   into the process replacing clarkson who,s been sacked hasnt he
Report CROPSICK • January 29, 2024 2:56 PM GMT
Yeah the space guy was talking too much, i guess they are telling them to do that but he did lead the audience into thinking like himself especially if they are guessing also.
Report 1st time poster • January 29, 2024 3:03 PM GMT
not finished but like the lady who went previous, who thought she,d do really well is using the safety nets especially  clarkson at the wrong time
to use clarkson for namimibia and dordoigne ?/answers ,was pathetic their ?,s for the audience leaving audience for harder ?,s  is terrible tactics the harder they are the less united audience are on answer,

First time I've watched since Chris Tarrant left as I can't stand Clarkson and much preferred the old format to this nonsense they now have.
Report werbie • January 29, 2024 3:30 PM GMT
Tarrant, Clarkson, Piers Morgan next?
Report Hayden • January 29, 2024 3:33 PM GMT
First time i've seen Jeremy Clarkson on any tv prog , was going to say he lacks personality but on further reflection he lacks everything.
Report GLASGOWCALLING • January 29, 2024 3:45 PM GMT
Agree about Clarkson, from my times working in the Shipyards he would have been described as

" A waste of a decent pair of Overalls ". Laugh

clarkson not for me never watched a nano second of top gear or diddly squat, but think he,s ok in this,
players now toss the 2 best liflines 50/50 and ask clarkson, for nothing ,basically confirming their own opinion., spaceman wasted/used wrong lifelines on rolex, dordoigne answers, which audience would have known both ,leaving him with audience for football ? ,when 50/50 would have helped him
Report 1st time poster • January 29, 2024 5:39 PM GMT
your basically trying to get to a point be it 16,32,64 where you have a free guess and a 50/50 with nothing to lose
