Could be better suited to Aintree after seeing that against better opposition than previous races.

Don't play ante-post back or lay but hard not to be taken in by that performance.

Horses of this age though can improve dramatically from one run to another and it's also really difficult to equate form lines for both sides of the water and visually impressive can be misleading as we now know from the Burdett Road debut run , that said that horse could have run a similar race but beaten by a machine who knows.
Seen it's even money with one bookmaker now with 7/4 top price , my guess would still be to wait until post time if you want to back it.
You'd probably need to take ave 6/4 now to get any decent amount on and even if it starts 2.0 SP you'd be effectively taking 1/4 to make post time , that said i'd imagine it will not start much shorter than it is now with all the fresh hype influence and a few races in Ireland to yet consider.

Good luck all   Happy

2nd and 3rd that day had little or modest previous..both won poor races since..nothing to correlate gino's performance on the day bar visual..today different.

Same with any top class horse imo, you have to make a judgement yourself, over the years done pretty well with my visual. I did same with City of tory and got the same, what's it beat but sitting on a nice price for 2000. You have to have something to look forward too Cool

That sums up ante post punting sometimes LC , it's about showing off a price and seeing a price diminish , there would be an extraordinary amount we'd never hear about , get beaten , drift and never any need to announce them.

You look at the 9/2 ante-post available as someone said before the race but assuming you'd need a win of some sorts it was 5/4 today and still 2/1 straight after the race which is 6.75 and that after winning as impressive as it was , if it had won snuggly by a couple and been maybe 5/2 for Cheltenham that would have have been a reinvestment of just under 7/1.

So even in hindsight i still can't see any real value in the 9/2 available yesterday.

Absolutely, in fact running the two races side by side, the juveniles were a long way in front for most of the way, Lossie and co closed down from the third last to the last but quite telling I think and as geoff points out Sir Gino opens up again from the last to the line. He was the most impressive of the 2 mile hurdlers today as once again Lossiemouth finds herself in a race run at a crawl.

The bet for me with her would be to lay her for the longer race as I'm determined to get her beat on stamina and after today you won't have to give up much to find out.
