All just about above average for me ie Kneeko, Cobden and Townend.
They get the job done and ok given the ammo at their disposal but certainly not anything special like McCoy or Ruby. Kind of think Jack Kennendy could still be top class but I dunno…you still get goofy rides now and then from him. But u put a gun to my head to pick one I’d go him. Whatever happened to Blackmore? Seems to have fallen away since she kicked for home one circuit too early. |

^ Hope you were on Aint That A Shame ...

Townend having a dream start to 2024, 2/3 today making his total 18/30 so far. Two at Cheltenham on Satuday both for the boss, Lossiemouth and Capodanno.

Holy God, now we're going back 15 years. It would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad.

^^^ Oh, OK.
So, especially for MJK who seems a bit miffed, here are the head-to-head figures since 2019 which is only 5 years and twenty-odd days... And the winner is, once again... [ This image is no longer available. ] |

Good work buddy.

Nico wins hands down on 5 years, BFAE 1.67 is excellent against Townend .87
By:
So if you had a horse now you'd rather De Boinville rode it than Townend? Hilarious. BTW how many races does he have to choose his mount from multiple entries by his trainer compared to Townend?
By:
Two very very good Jockeys but if my life depended on it probably just Townend imo.
By:
What sort of race is it?
Because if it’s a bumper then I’m getting Ryan Moore up all day over then lot. |
By:
3 Mile Chase Heavy ground and Townend on The Mullins Hotpot.

MJK is always miffed. Well worth the blocker.
By:
MJK would prefer the stats whilst Nico is out injured, even when he changes the goalposts he scores an own goal.

Not the first time you've had a go at me purely because I called you out previously on something. Even if you truly don't believe what you're saying yourself.

Nice hat trick there for MJK. No body answers him so he answers himself.

Rarely comment on anything you post MJK as you are impossible to reason with, in the case of Nico and the class of jockeys V Townend it makes little difference without comparing the class of horses they ride. The stats are even more telling when that comparison is factored in to include e.g small fields in Ireland and odds on favs Townend rides?
You need to reel in your ego and accept the stats do not lie and you have no kudos to attract stalkers!! HTH |
By:
Is that what he doing now? Claiming he has has stalkers?

You're pretend blocker not working then? As I said your a sad man for holding a grudge so long. Just because you were called out. You might want to get dyno rod in to fix that blocker.

Are you foaming at the mouth?

Still trying to figure out how I'm supposedly blocked by you yet you reply to my every post? How does that work? Surely you're not telling porkies again? Remember the last time, wouldn't like to see you go hiding again for a while.
By:
If I am wrong then so is everyone else who disagrees with you and apart from the OP who ran away we appear to be the majority who understand that the stats do not lie over 15 years and 5 years, the class of horse makes them even more valid as reverse the positions and Nico would be even further in front!! HTH

Are you really such a low intellect that you fail to realise that you are the one who was making comparisons about jockeys from different countries MJK?
By:
I'm using my eyes to compare, not stats though. You still haven't answered the question though?
By:
There is no sensible question to answer, you keep moving the goalposts when in fact all we are saying is that Nico is a good jockey and far from useless as alleged by the pocket talkers!!
By:
And you're using stats to say he's a better jockey than Townend to be fair. Is a striker in Malta better than Harry Kane because he has better stats? Or do we use ourceyes to know better? The vast majority of NH jockeys riding in the UK are very average imop, and I would put NDB in that grouping. Some are shockingly below that level. Now it maybe unfair to judge by comparing them to past jockeys but that's something that happens and can't be helped.
By:
At no point have I said one is better than the other MJK, you are proving you are a pocket talker who cannot accept defeat despite the stats of the posts proving you are in a minority of 2 with the OP who had the sense to hide.
Btw stats are only records that change the next time an event alters them which is why I never use them in punting, as for your opinion on jockeys I would wager that the majority could adapt to your job whatever it might be, quicker than you could learn the end with the tail is not the one to feed carrots. |
By:
How is it 'pocket talking' if I rarely bet the bloke? You're assumption that I know nothing about horses leads me to believe you think you know everything? Sounds like the usual 'what do you know about horses' when someone complains. Or a bitter ex jockey type. If you had your life savings and you had to put it on one of those jockeys in a two horse race, both horses equal, who would you put it on? Ps, why do you refer to the amount of posters on this thread? More stats, you seem to be obsessed with them. Do you think that makes you right? Take your time answering these questions if you can see them from your Ivory Tower looking down on this pleb.
By:
You really struggle to accept facts MJK, just told you I don't use stats but I cannot deny they are statements of fact. I am sure if statsman looks in he will confirm that I have gone against them for years as simply a record to be altered. If I had to use my life savings I would buy both horses and jockeys to ensure the correct result. HTH

By:
Again you cant answer a straight question with a straight answer(or any question).Fair play, well leave it at that.
By:
You want a comparison of equal ability horses so how about Shishkin V Energumene ?
Who won out of Nico and Paul and who was the better on the day? |
By:
What more can you ask for MJK,an actual event and not a hypothetical as you wanted me to speculate on, a hypothetical that is in fact reality and only two years ago to the week?
