i think im an expert at newc and eye cudnt split em.
By:
of course it depends where you think the line is and your opinion of the angle.
By:
ok, fort the slow mo looked clear so then fort there might be a stewards & stayed out
By:
the angle is 100% right to left coming from far side..al do a pic wen replay appears.
By:
ok ta
By:
I got lucky, done a few £££s backing Reclaim Victory in the final furlong but got it all back and a bit more in the photo.

Not a straight angle on the slo-mo at Newcastle.
-------------------------------------------------- crikey 'jamee'... only been doing UK for 6 months and you have got all the photo angles covered... can take folk years to get to that stage tbh... impressive... ![]() ![]() ![]() |

thats the true angle. |
By:
using that ,it would be a funny angle/line or eyes that made the 2nd look the winner
can you give us one ? |
By:
By:
That pic looks like far side won it then?
By:
if you draw it with a crayon it can happen
By:
it's very very impressive 'jamee'...
for someone only to be doing it for 6 months... unbelievable some might say. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

That pic looks like far side won it then? 1st pic does. |
By:
i thought same didnt see race or result thought line and photo was proving outside horse won,so basically photo,s at n,castle favour those closest to rail
By:
they dont favour anything..it favours if you know the angle the camera up in the box is coming from.
By:
does that change from meet to meet ?
or is that a wind up otherwise it favours nearside rail |
By:
that's what gave the game away 'jamee'...
someone new on here wouldn't just start attacking me for no reason (especially someone i had never even see before on here)... the conspiracy theory stuff started alarm bells ringing... schoolboy error that. |
By:
seen before.

I got lucky, done a few £££s backing Reclaim Victory in the final furlong but got it all back and a bit more in the photo. if you're betting in the last fur on atr blv ewe will need councelling jamee..Rampton is best. |

Mirror mirror on the wall
Where's the effing line after all? re. who's really in front, depends on gap between horses across the track width but from the ATR video I generally give the far side horse another 2 inches minimum (and that's from more than 6 months betting at Newcastle Hibby!) |
By:
excuse my ignorance
but if as seems if theres any advantage using pics provided its to near side, why would you be giving 2 inches to the far side ?,if anything you,d chance taking some off, wouldnt you ? |
By:
the far side is nearer the winning line than it appears on ATR imv.
By:
seems so
By:
sorry i,m missing something here
if those who no, think the far side is always closer than you think and the photo example and line given on here ,looks like the far side might have won HOW DID IT LOSE ? ive not seen race / or result just assuming by a post earlier that near side won |
By:
right now no ,no 1 won nearside
so if as a n,castle photo guru says he gives 2 inches to far side, the far side wins HOW DOES THAT HELP YOU IN PHOTO BETTING ? I,M @ . com |
By:
photo betting is similar to betting in Stewards enqs - do it at your peril basically, as who knows how exactly a decision is made. For that reason, I'm out.

sorry i,m missing something here if those who no, think the far side is always closer than you think and the photo example and line given on here ,looks like the far side might have won HOW DID IT LOSE ? cos if you look at the 2 fotos i uploaded..the 1st one if you draw a line from mirror to the lollipop (who most presume is the line) if looks like far side has won..but the actual line from the box 10yds up in the sky the angle is 100% a foot further right from the lollipop so as ewe says it favours this side..but its very tricky and can easily catch ewe out. |
By:
i only saw your 1st photo rico
By:
but if it favours this side why would someone who thinks he no,s the angle/line at n,castle give far side 2 inches, surely if anything you,d take something off the far side
or i,m missing something really obvious ? |
By:
there are 2 pics above i uploaded..
swifty is bong eyed... |

luckily i learned my lesson on photo betting nearly 50 yrs ago and havnt dabbled since
was at blackpool for week with lads went to dogs one night, did a tenner on one race thought the one had won easily and it was ev in photo ,so had a tenner to get my money back, did 20 on the race ,local knowledge did for me, lesson learned |
