Would the stewards have bothered if it hadn't been mentioned on SSR?

Stella Barclay

How many of the smaller yards can call upon the experience & expertise of someone with his pedigree?

Well I was quite happy to have Shane Gray over Mulrennan in that one - I certainly don't trust the ambassador - each to their own

You see rides like the hapless Winn gives in virtually every race, non jiggers and deliberate poor rides are what is killing the sport. Much easier for corrupt connections to lay their horses with a guaranteed return, than backing and getting beaten on the day. Simples really, so easy to for connections to cheat and fill their pockets.

Careful Basil, you'll be getting it from the 'the game's not for you' mob.

I have been saying this for years! Betting exchanges are a breeding ground for cheating , fiddling & dishonest practices.
A great idea in principle , but so open to corruption and manipulation .
Ban all betting exchanges and it will no doubt help keep racing alive for the average punter.
There has always been cheating in racing , but the exchanges have taken it to an unbelievable new level.

it's made cheating more transparent...

if the authorities give a fk about checking things out thoroughly...

which of course they don't...

coz they want to play the 'racing is 99.99% straight' game.

We were told Betfair would provide the paper trail that would stamp out skulduggery in racing.

As there are now so very few convictions we must assume the game has never been so clean.

i think Betfair provides what it's asked to provide tbh swifty...

if the authorities don't ask they don't get...

that's how it appears to work to me at least...

problem is i doubt the folk who are supposed to be watching things at the BHA could tell the difference between a big drift and a bowl of cornflakes.
