fair enough Mr.Hunt...i have used this bloke before and he was very helpful...https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_dkr=1&iconV2Request=true&_blrs=recall_filtering&_ssn=midland-sky-services&store_name=midlandskyservices&_oac=1&_nkw=sky%20hd%20box
It's strange. I was testing it late last night on 415, while they were showing Sky Sports News. I wanted to see whether it was something about the racing coverage which was causing it. But the problem was still there, exactly as you describe it. Yet all this afternoon there hasn't been a hitch. I've stopped it a couple of dozen times, I've tried switching to another channel and back again, I've tried turning the box to standby and back on, but I just can't get the fault back again!
I don't know - Somerset's a long way from Tyneside, maybe there's something in the weather, though I can't think why it would affect only 415.

Something you could try which wouldn't do any harm is the equivalent of a clean-up and defrag. Get rid of stuff you don't need on the disk, then re-order what is left. Go to your Planner, toggle right to Deleted, then delete everything listed there there. You don't need this deleted stuff still sitting there on your disk. Next go to Services - Help - Sky Plus Rebuild and let that do its stuff. Then try the old on/off at the mains thing with the disk now cleaned up.
At least it passes the time till Kempton starts.

pardon my idiocy, but are you saying you press pause and it resets immediately , basically ignoring your command, or it resets to live after you release the pause?

if i press pause 20yds out on atr to nudge it forward to try stop on line..8 times from 10 it initially pauses..then when i press pause again to normal speed,it resets the pic to live...its working ok as we speak but didnt 1st try back from screamings advice.

it's definitely something ATR has done to not allow it if you ask me Mr.HUnt...
nowt would surprise me with that lot tbh.

I can pause atr and play pause as many times as I like and it stops starts from where I leave it..., however with RTV if I pause and restart quickly it will revert to live
