Different Class...

Performance of the National Hunt season so far (probably by some distance)

Magical

Best NH horse in training, thrashing decent horses.

Brilliant performance and great to see , magnificent commentary as well from the best

Gregory Peck.

23 lengths in a canter

Million pound note

back to his best fair play

Great to see.

Need a few of those to buy this horse Hayden.

Superb.

Your post of Gregory reminded me instantly of that movie stewarts

Giving him daylight makes the world of difference to his jumping.

In last years Gold Cup there was still a little doubt about his stamina so he was held up and jumped poorly - the fact he still had enough in the tank to win comfortably is testament to his ability.

Now they know he stays I hope he can put up a monumental performance in March.

67 National ?? Peter Cazalet??

Interesting to see what he is rated after that. Could be upper-mid 180s.

Here's a very old thread on the topic geoff.......

Cheers Hayden.

Geoff m , he was one of the casualties at the 23rd fence, now known as the Foinavon fence, ran again in 68 where was one of the favs ran 3rd to Red Alligator.

I was 10 @ the time . But still remember it running. Probably because the association with Cazalet who got TV coverage via the Queen Mother horses Escalus/ Makaldar. MY earliest ever memories of horse racing.

Thankfully the trainer listened to the jockey and allowed him to be up with the pace

Great memories Geoff, those GNs had all the regulars running, The Fossa, Rutherfords, Rondetto, Anglo, Freddie, absolutely loved it back then and don't recall many fatalities.

Different class as a days racing than anything we’ve seen this season 3 magnificent performances within an hour couldn’t decide which one was the best then galopin comes and trumps the lot

The extra distance today a factor V the John Durkan form plus I think it prefers going left handed.Awesome performance though.

Great performance from the Gold Cup winner and probably the highlight but i've a feeling it'll take a monster to lower the Gaelic Warrior colours this season.

Love or hate Jerry by all means but personally i think he's a magnificent commentator , especially so in races that matter.

Constitution Hill
II Est Francais
Marine National
Gaelic Warrior
Gallopin Des Champs

We've been spoilt this week

Hayden

Totally agree about Gerry I really don’t understand the criticism he gets

You could add Irish point and fact to file to that list
