I don't want the All Weather to end. If Timeform’s founder Phil Bull is correct describing the effect of the going as “the most important consideration of all” in horseracing analysis. The Polytrack at Lingfield, Kempton, Dundalk and Chelmsford  and The Tapeta at Wolverhampton, Southwell and Newcastle is working out well for now at least. But as we all know things can quickly all change.

I usually leave out horses when they have been beaten by another in a race recently and tonight SANDY PARADISE and McLean House re-appose with SP now on 4lbs better terms for a 2L defeat over CD 21 days ago.

The draw for me at Kempton overall looks to favour those drawn low particular those horses drawn in the two stalls next to the rail and my fancy tonight gets next to the rail while MH is the opposite end.

Three weeks ago today it was the reverse with SP having to travel wide giving away lengths until prominent after 2f then disputing second but by then had used up that vital energy needed in the closing stages.

That effort was after 168 days off and looking at his pattern of form he is ready to strike a couple of races after a  small break.

Richard Hughes 5yr old chestnut has won three times over a mile and also readily over CD in June for today's jockey Ethan Jones who has become his regular partner.

Happy New Year Billy, hope you come 2nd to us in the league , i posted a thread about the jockey riding this last night and also posted this horse up for same reasons also 4lb better off for 2 lengths, got 13/2 EW 1st 4 last night with Billy Hill and 7/1 win only with 356, good luck.

With me thinking our fancies run last time should be upgraded, finishing only two lengths behind a Class 4 winner qualifies tonight for me win, lose or place.

MR TRICK was in great form in December getting pipped by a nose, a short head and then winning all off a mark of 54. Wasn't put in the race last time where I spotted him getting pulled back shortly after breaking out of the stalls and held up out of harms way until staying on over this 1m4f.

Ian Williams has employed Kieran O'Neill today who has won a couple for the stable and owners lately and with still on a mark of 56 The Ian Williams Racing Club could be celebrating again with past successes off 58 and 70 not that too long ago.

Mr Trick was backed into favourite but needs a return to shorter..

The Jack Channon trained and George Bass ridden 4yr old KITBAG has halved in price with some bookies since placing my 8/1 bet this morning, the bay was a winner just before Christmas at Wolverhampton for today's jockey when keeping on in the final furlong from a wide draw.

He had to carry 6lbs more 8 days later but while he was Prominent on the outer he then weakened in the final furlong with his new jockey Tommie Jakes saying he became unsettled and upset in the stalls

Now dropped 3lbs and with the return of the winning jockey it could be a good opportunity for The Owner Mick to do one of his famous Windmill celebrations in Southwell's Minster Suite and give a rendition of..

Only beaten 3/4L when collared close home by the in-form Finn Russell over a mile at Lingfield at the start of December with Storymaker behind who then went on to win her next three races.

Out fast in that race and it might be a good move dropping to 7f from the high draw with Mikkel Mortensen now claiming his 7lbs

HARRY THE HAGGLER arrives having won two of his last four outings and the return to a mile and Marco Ghiani could bring up a Hat-trick of winning rides for the jockey.
Looks like there is plenty of stamina in the Stuart Williams 4yr old with the success over the mile on Soft at Brighton in September and while the price is just a smidge above my basement odds I have done well at these sort of prices with all three winning on this thread.

Alice Haynes 5yr old CAVALLUCCIO looked un-lucky in December when waiting for room over 1f out and then finding short of room and hampered until flying towards the finish going down by just a half length to the in-form Mr Trick.
CD success in November for tonight's jockey Kieran O'Neill who has rode all three wins and I think there are doubts over the other two mainly fancied rivals on the grounds of distance..

9/2 WINNER, all things come to those who wait.
                                               I can still remember The old agent Alf telling me how to bet in The notorious Eagle and Child pub in Huyton one Friday afternoon in 1978. The Ethan Jones ridden filly has Lost many lengths and been slowly away in all of these races and was only beaten by the in-form Storymaker in this Class 4 a week ago by a 1/2 length and before that got the better of Inverlocky who was going for a hat-trick and then won again yesterday.

Looked at that 6.00 Dundalk race last night Billy but have gone against Dromantine with Winemaker, ran 3 lengths behind your selection in that race over 1m for this 10lb claimer but is 5lb better in tonight but ran a better race lto when 3rd behind Little Kaillee over this 7f trip and won over 7fs at Listowel in June from a mark of 72 by 3 lengths. Would meet LK some 12lbs better if in his race later but that's over 1m and think this trip should suit this prominent racer better, gone EW 1st 4 at 10/1.

Clive Cox 4yr old filly was only pipped by a head off this mark in November at Wolverhampton and then had to race wide from an outside stall at Kempton with the 7lb apprentice over weight. Better drawn tonight and CD success for returning jockey John Fahy.

Leicester 2-45 Imperial Alex 6pts Win 2/1

The 7yr old gelding ran into a real in-form type last month who defied a 7lb rise with the third another 8 lengths behind, nothing here in that class and this strong-travelling type looks ready to get off the mark on only his fifth chase start in first time cheek pieces.

Southwell 3-55 Hiatus 6pts Win 7/2

The 4yr old bay could of arguably won at Kempton 22 days ago when finding all sorts of trouble in running and still only went down by a length after twelve weeks off. Won last May over this distance easily by nearly 4 lengths and now 2lbs below that win with Jack Gilligan who had over 400 winners in America taking over the ride.

It Takes Two to Tango in the eight bells with two previous CD winners, Robert Havlin returns on Arlecchinos Gift who has gone close recently 0nly beaten a 1/2 and 3/4 lengths and runs tonight off the same mark.

In-form trainer Mark Usher who has a RTF of 86% in the past 14 days could of opted for Tyler Heard's 3lb claim having won a couple for the stable lately  but hopefully the connections think Havlin's experience will win the day.

The 4yr old filly White Mist trained by Mrs Ilka Gansera-Leveque and ridden by George Wood again with the trainer having a RTF of 100% in the past 14 days albeit with three horses.
The grey has been transformed by the visor in her last two starts finishing first and then second over CD only going down by a length to Beauzon who went on to success in his next two races rising to 10lbs higher in his last race.

The 4yr old filly Back Tomorrow is very lightly raced with only 6 runs to her name and winning one from two on the AW including over CD in December for Mr Walker.
Jason Hart takes over from a decent draw and while a few look well treated there are not many in form.

Ian Williams 5yr old bay El Hibri has been successful twice at 6f including over CD at the start of the month. Back to some form 4 days ago after rearing at the start previously at Newcastle, didn't have a clear run for today's jockey Clifford Lee last time and another who hopefully will benefit for a return to The Minster of Southwell..

Thanks George, like you that's my third 100pts thread on here, other two were 1pt and 2pt level stakes though.
My bookie mate might be conceding, he takes my bets and said "I've got my eye in" so I might retire this thread if he is. Letting me know by the morning..

I am having another bet with my old bookie mate who I met first day at work in the early 70's, his Dad was the main bookie in Fords Halewood when over 12,000 worked there and he later followed suit.

We are going with our families to Royal Ascot and I have to achieve 50pts level stakes profit to £30 a bet by then, he is giving me BOG and I have a £2000 bank. We are 1-1 with previous bets..


I woke up to a text from my mate saying he's conceded, because I send my bet and price to him and then post on here my real profit is 38pts to 1pt level stakes with him.

Looks like the increased stake done the trick this time but it could of gone the other way.

Morning Billy, saw that Mo Salah got injured playing for Egypt last night, hope not serious.
Looked at that 6.00 Dundalk race last night Billy but have gone against Dromantine with Winemaker, ran 3 lengths behind your selection in that race over 1m for this 10lb claimer but is 5lb better in tonight but ran a better race lto when 3rd behind Little Kaillee over this 7f trip and won over 7fs at Listowel in June from a mark of 72 by 3 lengths. Would meet LK some 12lbs better if in his race later but that's over 1m and think this trip should suit this prominent racer better, gone EW 1st 4 at 10/1.

Just held on today Billy after getting run out of the places in that race after leading most of the race got 10/1 earlier.
