Worked for the best Hern Gosden Beckett and the worst....Who shall remain nameless....Now he really couldn't train Ivy up a wall.

Ned lived above the bookies (Laddies) on High Street.....probably still there.

Have not seen them for about 20 Years though.

About 28 years for me. Ned took me under his wing as it was my 1st job in racing. I will be forever grateful to him as he didnt need to do that

I remember whilst working for William Jarvis that he was having a 'relationship' with one of the stable lasses which we all thought was a secret and only a handful of us in the stables knew about but we woke up one Sunday and it was front page of 'The News of the World'........not a secret anymore. Wonder if Willie went round all the newsagents in Newmarket trying to buy up every copy

yes alex trained mtoto he sadly passed away to early, really nice fella, alex scot was the trainer shot by some nutter.

i dont remember that but i may have been abroad at the time, i did work for him for a short time years ago but got offered better money from another yard, apart from the money he was a good bloke to work for.
