Dear ELG,

We hope you’re keeping well.

We are making some updates to our Best Odds Guaranteed terms and conditions.

From 10th October 2023, Best Odds Guaranteed will no longer apply to horse racing markets.

Kind Regards

Nice of them to ask how you're keeping ELG  Grin

I like how their “changes” is simply the final nuclear option.

Imagine if everyone made some betfair style “changes” whst would happen.

No great loss surely?  They took BOG off multiples a while ago, and if you are betting singles you are almost always better off on the Exchange?

Depends on your own personal strategy longbridge and how you plan to utilise the place over broke when existing in the suitable shape / math's of race.

They once gave me a free bet on that Sportsbook thing when it first started and never bothered looking at it since.

I use the monthly £5 free bet from my rewards package for ante post accas.

My goal is to one day make them sweat over a quarter of million pound payout because of a free bet.

Was to begin with but then along came all the bookmakers stuff along with their casinos etc. Beginning of the end if we only knew it.

jimnast

What did you mean by

"how they got around getting there license"?

Back in 2000 longbridge to lay horses you had to go through the courts to get a permit/license betfair point was it was person to person betting just like if you was in the pub and your mate says I bet you a fiver I’ll beat you at pool that wasn’t illegal so that was there way in.

You use to see signs in racecourse toilets about betting against other people then they tried bookmaking themselves and clearly released it was harder than they thought with increasing restrictions on accounts and in many cases pathetic offers whilst boasting on tv what you can have, now they realise they can’t do bog .

I would be concerned if they still allow you to bet a fiver.

With the restrictions, bans, and ridiculous programme book they must be winning more than ever, yet that isn't enough, and they still find time to get rid of a concession.

If you take out the middle two sentences it's quite a nice email.
