Usually ran in a bog, with big field and a huge draw bias.
Possibly upside down today, as a lot of rags drawn low, and possibly quicker going than usual.
The fav is on the downgrade for me, so it's not an easy race to work out today.

Sat in front of Mendip Man's owners on that glorious day many years ago . Done two Brits on the PMU today just for the interest and to see how it works out .....

Doesnt quite look that bad jimnast, Horses are rated from 103 to 117, maybe no stand out performer or superstar but doesnt seem a bad renewal to me. Mabs Cross was 110 when winnig it I think, Platinum Queen similar. A Case of You 108, Maarek 108 - just no stand out performer this year.

Moss Tucker is on the upgrade at the right time, beaten twice by Art Power earlier in year he won a group 3, then won the G1 Flying Five both at the Curragh with Art Power behind. Got to give fav 4lb but ran well in this last year to finish 5th having missed the break, tough race again and luck in running will play a part, but 10/1 on here seems slightly on the generous side with 6/5 to be in first four for cover hopefully.
gl chaps

I suppose it is better than a thirsk sprint but nothing like a championship group one sprint.
If I owned big gossey I’d have entered him

Afters jimnast, yes I agree with that sentiment. The better going this year should give is a competitive race, looks open as can be but the way Moss Tucker missed the break last year and still finished 5th and a good Griup 1 win behind him in the Flying Five looks to big to me, win and place. Good luck.

Moss Tucker is appealing, but on the recent history of the race, stall 11 is not. As I mentioned up thread, most of the protagonists are not drawn low either, so it balances out somewhat. I don't know enough about the track to know if the bias remains when the going is not as deep as it usually is for this race. Rogue Lightening is unexposed and appeals, apart from the apparent terrible draw. So does Get Ahead, who in theory has a more favourable slot. At this point I just know that I want to take on the jolly.

To be fair to this years winner she is a very good horse taking nothing away from her as she has been on the go all year but the opposition was woeful.

I backed a few of the low drawn rags in the end, so of course somehow Highfield Princess beat me, from the theoretically poor draw and being hard driven for the entire race. That track is in desperate need to be reconfigured as it was an utter mess.
