With regards the non-runners, the average score was 11.75 for the 5 races, just over 2 per race. You could give 2pts for a non-runner.

No robbing there fat punt, I scored in just one race so deserved to go out

I would have thought the solution to the late non-runners would be for the favourite to be substituted, but if that was already picked by your oponent you go on to the 2nd favourite

There can always be tweaks on competitions but tbf those who chose first had the advantage today and well done to them, the disadvantage they had was possible non runners so swings and roundabouts in that respect.

Mitolo had a good point about the rags which UD has touched on and a good idea to rethink the bonus points for the more adventurous, made little difference today but nobody can predict the future weeks e.g heavy ground etc?

As you say UD, worth a look for the future but as always a sterling job.

I'd suggest that, in the event of a tied match, the player who picked first is the loser.

Going first worked today DD but could be a huge disadvantage in future for those posting e.g Thursday if there was a surfeit of withdrawals due to ground etc, swings and roundabouts but the N/Rs situation is either leave as is or give the entrant the runner immediately next in the betting behind the other entrants pick?

Fancied horses obliged jimnast, obvious first picks for many, second choice were left with the "field" but as said may all change later.
