the pub remains but i've been informed today  the legendary ex  landlord thomas has passed away . until he retired 4 years ago anyone who drank in  the pub during punchestown festival had to include a visit here as a highlight of the trip. a few of us from england certainly did . we went in every day .
rip thomas .a fine man he was .
