Race from Sandown on August 10th, form been stamped by the winner and second since, the winner is now rated 89 and the 2nd who was beaten a neck has since won back at Sandown in an £18K to the winner race.
Batal Zabeel who was 5th gets into todays 1st handicap off a mark of 77 which I hope will end up looking lenient after today despite being beaten over 5l in the Sandown race.He was strongly fancied that day but swerved leaving the stalls and Will Buick "rode" the whole race with his feet out of the irons, despite that he still beat 3 others.
I am always wary on official ratings but when form is stamped as sound as it has been here it is hard to ignore.
I had expected Batal Zabeel to be fav today so surprised to see 4/1 and could not resist a punt, getting 7lb from the current fav ,if I have it right in ratings he should probably be giving the fav weight or at least be level with him.

I know what a stamp is, it's not great to be stamped on, but being franked is nice.
