We have been racing on a bog for the last 7 or 8 weeks to the detriment of top class flat racing. There seem no problems with this ground in terms of injuries/horses patently not acting on it. Why the constant calls for watering? It is bad enough with our "we'll just put a few mils on to freshen it up" CoC's without the media encouraging it.

exactly, if your horse won't like it fast, wait 'til next week when it'll be soft again no doubt.
Stuck the same on last night and the ground was fine today.
I think they lost one yesterday, might of course have been nothing to do with the ground. I think he has done a good job so far, tough job imho to appease everyone.
The MAXWECAN was a fast ground horse. I agree, for too long now genuinely fast ground horses are denied the ground that they prefer.
