It's a disgrace the racing tv pundits use their privileged position to try and influence a stewards. If Martin Dixon or Luck backed that they really should be reprimanded by Racing TV for being ridiculously over the top. Lydia wasn't much better.

presume the stewards weren't watching live. hence they had to wait for matt chapman to say he was amazed there hadn't been a stewards before pressing the bing-bong. |

I wanted to back the reversal initially, and reversed out of my position.
It's easy to see why people get fed up with the forum as it's easy to snipe from a laptop, being able to look at the market, live pause etc, minutes after the race. |

Yes the pundits called it wrong. So what. It opened circa 3 and went into 2.2ish initially, so it wasn't a no brainer acc to initial money. I thought that the winner pushed another runner into the RU in severe way. But it didn't look half as bad after a few viewings, and I reverse ferreted. |

They thought there would/should be an enq, but it was nothing to do with their own betting I'm almost certain. Just got a bit excitable. I don't know why people are upset about it, if anything it opens up a betting opportunity. |

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind the stewards weren't inclined to call a enquiry.
Outside influences made them take a look. Even Betfair had the betting open whilst no enquiry had been called Just iffy, imo |

Yep spot on, they wouldn't even have bothered calling for an enquiry without the shouting from Luck, Dixon and Chapman. There was no need for one. Pundits trying to influence decisions.

Might have been merit in inquiry even
without winner being involved as there was some interference and best to sort it out. Winner got carried into it, and jockey did Well to wait and switch, the runner up then had to wait for winner to manoeuvre before making it's challenge. Deffo worth a look. |

Probably not rico but I was at York and it was a very late call and having heard about the performance by those on rtv I believe it found it’s way back and in this crazy world the stewards reacted

4 and a half minutes after the race finished, with the winner unsaddled and having a drink, Matt Chapman said on ITV racing he was amazed a stewards had not been called.
