2 mile races and most are decided by a head. If my horses were 1% faster I'd have twice as many winners.

Using that logic, if your horses were 1% slower, you'd only have half as many winners. But then again, a half of zero is still zero.

4 mile race- decided by a nose. 5f race - decided by a nose. The trip doesn't matter, the horses and jockeys always make sure to make as close as finish as possible.

Isabella Bee lost by a head, the third horse was 4.75L behind. So Isabella being 1% slower wouldn't have made a difference, it never does, only being 1% faster does.

I did back both actually, but the fav was my saver bet for a break-even result. Isabella was my nap.

5 photos out of 6 races so far Absolutely Poppydog. Given the attendance will be mainly holidaymakers who aren't necessarily that committed to racing, a day full of close finishes will enthuse them far more for the sport than a string of 15 length winners, and hopefully mean they'll be more likely to go racing again. |
