Ramatuelle looks pretty special to me and on her way to the top.
I like this stable, Big Rock, Blue Rose Cen and this filly running today have all made me money this season, even though the the first two mentioned have been beaten of late. one by Inspiral and one with a poor ride at Goodwood.
But with negatives coming from O'brien on River Tiber, this filly ought to collect has strong Claims to grab her first group 1. The Dogs are barking from this stable and they seem pretty bullish. Slightly gutted she is only around 6/4 as i was really hopping for around 2/1....she's even shorter on the PMU....but i will just have to bang more on
Andrea Atzeni trying for his life there....He is Normally useless....probably why he is heading off. Almost made a mess of it.
Best Horse won no Complaints.
No @ Breadnbutter it was win or lose for me thought she had excellent claims today.

Did O'Brien say he would never be put in the race to have any chance? Very strange ride.
Atzeni not the worst on the big occasion. It's all the lesser one's that have been the problem.

They can all ride good races , they can all ride bad races , they can all snatch victory from defeat , they can all snatch defeat from victory.
Jockeyship will never be an exact science in spite of the continuously moaning punters who are convinced it should be.

Sport is not an exact science, but HR has additional variables. That does not mean jockeys are beyond critique, does it?
We are not usually in possession of full information. On the face of it, for example the Derry Lad ride today was beyond awful. But was that riding to firm instructions, or did he bottle it, knowing what was potentially on the line? Were instructions over interpreted? Quite often, the wrong approach to a race is taken but that came from connections and not the jockey, but the jockey will get the flack.

Well if you don’t like Andrea then don’t worry because she will be over in Hong Kong soon.
Going to be tough mixing it with them lot but I suppose if Bentley can battle through it then so can she.

There were loads, been in the press for the last few days. Only got the go ahead to run after a gallop yesterday.

Why would anyone looking at a ride need to consider instructions?
Surely the idea is to ride every horse for the best possible placing? If that isn't the case then you are just admitting that the game is bent.

In that example, Derry Lad, if BDLS was told to hold the horse up and swing wide for a clear run in the straight, it was terrible tactics. But the jockey would have been doing what he was told, so couldn't take the blame. As the race turned out in practice, he pinged the gates and had to be strangled to get to the rear of the field, there was no pace and he was done for. It was so exaggereated it really stood out, he was so determined to drag it to the back.
Seems extraordinary to me why they rode it that way as I saw the trainer interviewed earlier in the week where he said that he was concerned 10f is now shorter than ideal for the horse. But considering it was running for £100K+, and they employed the services of an inexperienced jockey, they surely would not have simply left the tactics up to the jockey.
