what a waste of time, from 400 entries only 76 declared, and no race has the max 14 runners, team Scotland have no runners in the first 3 races, and just 5 runners in the meeting, see the Irish not that interested, Richard Hughes horses running for the Irish.

100K race to end the card.
Yarmouth head honchos must be whacking off at the thought of it. heady days just over 7k attended last year's spread and less than 1K bothered to turn up for the finale at newcastle. they had a go as they say but should have knocked it on the head, shirley |

would sum it up really. only 8 runners in the first so the format is buggered with teams not being able to participate. Structure supposed to accommodate 14 runner fields. Enjoy this 'un. I fear it is the end for the racing league. R.I>.P |

Competitive racing with a mix of some likable old handicappers and some younger ones improving through the ranks all racing for prize money worth winning. What's not to like?

Would be nice to see full fields, still competitive enough though. Not had a proper look but with soft going very likely, Farhh To Shy jumps off the page at me with the track and 7F trip right in his wheelhouse IMO.

I'd be interested in Faustas who ran a stinker on good to firm ground last time out even though it doesn't like it lively. had a decent break and the visor is on. market will be the clincher as always |

I'll take a look at that one. Very competitive little sprint but the soft going should give you a useful angle into it.

With the exception of the 315 at sandown who would have thought Yarmouth would have a much better card than ,sandown,Newbury and Doncaster.
Not saying I’m a fan and certainly don’t like them racing in these colours but absolutely nothing wrong with the card. |

To be fair manoleeds it would be very difficult to price up the series but none of the firm’s pricing up tonights basically shows there are no old style odds compilers anymore they just depend on this exchange.

Perhaps somebody could ask Chapman how a horse trained by a Frenchman in West Sussex qualifies to run in the colours of Team Scotland? That's Nuit St Georges in the 8:00.

The teams make no sense at all. Hayley turner rides for Scotland ( was riding for the east last year), whilst Nicola currie, who I believe is Scottish, rides for team London.
Last year Dettori was welsh, now he is from the east. They just make it up as they go along, anyone can seemingly ride or train for any team. Bit of a farce too with the fields not filling and some teams hardly having any runners. Surely need to have an equal amount of runners from each team. |

That said, I will probably still watch it. Watched most of it last year. Found it quite amusing watching the usually gravy trainers, who will get enthused over almost anything if you pay them enough, try to ram this down our throats and tell us how great it is.

Disappointed not to get over,more not getting to find out how Skinto is doing unless someone else can find out.As to the racing is it beyond people to forget the title and format?
Proved last year that it is possible to make a profit at these meetings, competitive , open betting and riders riding to the line.Love it or hate it the cards provide what punters,owners and trainers continually ask for,in terms of prize money, competitive racing and decent fields. |

Trainers and owners keep asking for better prize money, then when they get it, they still don’t run anyway! Not one race filled, despite being more than enough early declarations.
To be fair to it, it does look like good fun and something different for the jockeys involved, and gives some of the lesser known ones a chance to boost their profile and win better prize money. They are also decent betting heats, competitive races, most horses trying, and the form usually holds up well at its level. So you can’t really complain on those fronts. The races are very hard to watch though, takes ages to get used to the colours and know which horse is which. Must be a nightmare to commentate on. Don’t see why they can’t just keep their usual colours, and just change the caps and/or maybe the breeches for the team colours. And the whole concept is a bit of a joke, with the riders and trainers often only having tenuous links to the teams they are on. It’s probably good for those involved, but for the viewer, the paying customer, and for the new audience they are meant to be trying to attract, it’s all a bit sh1t. |

S ky bet have betting on the top team and top jockey for the series. Maybe some other firms do too.
