If the second had consented to run in a straight line, she might well have been beaten even with the 5lb allowance, but the head-on showed that Sam James had to put both hands back on the reins of Bateel Zabeel and straighten him up, which probably cost him that bit of momentum.

after timing but I suppose you could say her best form ( the two listed races ) was on G/F at York  and when they say Good in France ( looking at the vid ) it's usually rattling.

For anyone desperate enough to back the winner, more of a good job that the second didn't go through with it. Dire performance from the favourite who has probably run a stone below. I wouldn't have thought the ground could have been that much of an excuse. More likely she has already gone after just four races.

Disagree with that DD.  It's my long experience that many horses that prefer  top of the ground can get away with it ( soft side ) at Newmarket due to the nature of the surface there. I don't take RTV. Trainer said anything yet ?
