...on Saturday because of Tom Jones. 12,900 for the Hennessey. 8,400 for the Lockinge. If you were a commercial organisation, you would be forgiven for thinking that putting your £ into music gigs (with rubbish racing) rather than prize money to attract good horses is the way forward. I cling to the belief that it is good for racing that courses make a decent profit on these days so as to subsidise the days I want to go to.

Why? Why? Why?    Would I be thinking that. Daft isn't it though. Their best 2 days racing of the year and the crowd for both is only just above what they get for a miserable strike-affected concert day. Heh ho.

I saw Tom Jones in Vegas, probably 12 years ago, and sure enough, the old Doris's were lobbing their apple gatherers at him. As a performance he was just about okay I suppose.

Southampton's finest, Craig David is doing all the music after racing gigs this summer. He is at Ascot in 2 weeks time for that dreadful shergar crap fixture. Great singer in my opinion. by wednesday we were making love.....
