She hit a flat spot at Chester and won a distance

The Chester race was run in a bog and the form was pants. Today was only a Gp 3. She's 6/1 for The St Leger.

Sorry 'jimnast'. I was thinking of Emily Dickinson after reading the thread about ok koral being a fraud. Nevertheless, the form of the Chester race was pants.

2nd in Epsom Oaks wasn't too shabby. Some great stayers haven't been world beaters at 12f.  eg. Le Moss Yeat s

No worries impossible easy mistake to make

Whilst the Chester race was pants she still won 22 lengths and as already stated by Howard a very good 2 nd in the oaks.

Pants was in comparison to Enable, Minding, Diminuendo, Oh So Sharp, etc. She surprised connection winning at Leopardstown hence 20/1 sp; Azazat was 'even' money fav in that race.

The Chester race she finished the last 2 furlongs quicker than the sprinters that ran earlier in the day.  Probably something the 999/1 layers where unaware of.

I thought I'd made a mistake when Bluestocking took it up with 1/2f to run. Tbf I did not even realise it was the fav who was making up ground hand and fist - I'd lost all hope.

Will connection take him to Doncaster for the final Classic?

I was happy enough with evens pre race.

Truth is "all" she showed at Chester was acting on bad ground and stamina. If the sprinters don't go on the ground or more likely stay the distance on the ground they aren't going to run a quick time.  If all this sectional stuff was so good the likes of Angus would be driving a Rolls and if you really believed it you may not have got the 1000 but you would have got far better than evens.

Mugs laying odds on-favs at 1000, incredible.

I remember some shortie a few years ago trading at 1000 and winning by over 5 lengths, also irish racing.

Pro tip for IR muglayers - short favs can be held up and then come back.

Gaze - do you have the numbers to show that odds-on favourites who go 1000 IR then go on to win more than 0.1% of the time?
