JPSER, there was a race at Ascot in 1974, The Queen Anne stakes, where they chucked out the 1st 3, a horse named Brook who finished 4th got the race.

Didn't have an interest in the race but once again I ask two questions :
The jock got 5 days. What should he have done to avoid causing interference? If he had done what the Stewards have said he didn't what effect would that have had on the momentum of the winner? |

In The UK there seems to be no consistency in Horse racing, once the stewards get involved.
Football has gone tight buttocked with VAR, and most of the big comps in the world seem to have adopted it. But with Horse racing, in the U.S if a horse so much as kicks dust up, it gets demoted( well a bit of an exaggeration, but you know what I mean), but at least it seems semi consistent. here in the UK, things always seems a little more flaky, they really need to lock up some comprehensive, unwavering rules, for punters, owners and jockeys alike |
|
By:
you can make a lot of money on uk stewards if you know how its going to be called.
you can't in the us. that might explain the inconsistency .... |
|
By:
I thought there was a horse chucked last year for 'intimidation' wasnt there? so didnt even touch the other horse and was still chucked.
|
|
By:
we make a lot less on newmarket stewards since they removed the picture of Nimbus winning the 1949 Guineas with the listening device on the back of it ...
