With joint favs it's a 50/50 which way the price will move. Even if you lay the worse horse, the clown market will back it.

Look at Senseofentitlement, drift from 8 to 55 then steam to 29 to beat the odds on steamer. The clown market is so bad and unpredictable.

You could red-out before each race starts, rather than wait until after the race to see how much you have lost.
