It's the modern world. The England cricket captain was born in New Zealand to a NZ rugby league international with Maori heritage.

Been going on for a while Smoky in all sports , where you're born doesn't mean a lot when compared to financial opportunities.

Tennis has a few
Cycling has more than one
Cricket has plenty , in particular S.Africa related
Soccer probably loads although i'm guessing as don't follow sport.

The modern sporting era is more the land of opportunity than loyalty.

He moved to England with his family before
his first birthday.

He considers himself part of uk tennis.

Why wouldn't he?

Tennis is one of the sports where it matters least.

£2.50 apparently at Wimbledon. About the cheapest thing you can buy there. There’s some kind of price cap on the strawberries. Bonkers!

as a Scot I should be supporting Murray but the tedious whining drawl and his gruesome attention seeking mother sicken you...backed Tsitsipas to knock him out tonight..

not reallyMischief...as regards the match I'd reckon the 5th ranked player should have far too much for him..

surprised murrays only 50s to lay for the tournament.

hasn't won a Grand Slam singles title for 7 years and nowhere near what he was ...
Report Hayden July 6, 2023 5:20 PM BST
Don't think the rankings are relevant for this match up mate and almost a red herring looking at 5 vs 40.

Tsipitas's win over Thiem was overstated as he should be beating Thiem much easier , plus the handful of matches before that were poor form.

Murray's forced to pick him tournaments now in the twilight of career hence the 40 ranking.

I'm a watching brief but low lay in-play on either player if it works out that way.

Best of luck  Happy
