Having placed in the oaks and looking a thorough stayer jockey decides to hold her up at the back and ride her like a sprinter. Very disappointing ride and yet, once again, no analysis by the jockey pundits on any of the channels. Always been amazed by the protection jockeys and trainers get for tactics. They are  Only human I know and we all make mistakes but other sportsmen get called out for poor performance or good performance. Why do jockeys/trainers escape this?. I rarely criticise jockeys but occasionally the odd stinker is thrown in. If the bad performances are let to pass with no mention or critical feedback who benefits?. Not the jockey, owner or punter.
