Hardly obvious, nobody claiming it was.

Some massive outsiders that win, one would struggle to find after the race, like that 1000 shot in Ireland earlier this week.

This one was one that could have been backed with some reasonable hope of a good run.

Was the sort I often stick a 'free bet' offer on, if I'm ever lucky enough to get one from somewhere...but not this time of course!

Mad one here but Valient Force ran really well In what has turned out to be a very hot maiden. He then raced all on his own over 6 furlongs in another very hot race. This step back to 5 furlongs should suit, and he is on what should be the pace side.

2pts ew 150/1 generally

Also on that threat someone had Valient Force x Desert Hero £15 Double for £20,000

Bravely admitted he cashed out for £800 before Desert Hero

Some great tipping and reasoning given for the valient force selection.

But have guys so shrewd never heard of betfair and the exchange??

Tipping a 150's shot that could have been well over 450's instead...

Valiant Force might have got more backers at 25/1 than 150/1 simply because more people would read the form at the lower price. There was a case to be made for him but most people, including myself, barely look at the complete rags. Heck, some people don't look at double figures, though that is more an old-fashioned mindset I think.

A good number of those people would just be looking from an old traditional each way bet angle and not even considering a win and place bet of say 20% win and 80% place.

I tip generally with bookies prices, as I’m looking at the place price for a selection like this. And it’s generally  the way tips are done

I pretty obviously had a bet myself at 370 win on betfair . Missed the near 500 though.

My main thought was this was no way 30/1 to  place in the 4 given the similar form of 2 others in the market at about 10 to win, at the time

Fair enough - what were the places prices like on here in comparison? Must have been fairly big.
