Such a shame. 3 years is surely long enough?
Initial news was it was just a suspension, but it's been a helluva long sentence.

- Have they forgotten?
- Why not just delete it, if they're not going to unsuspend it?
- Are Betfair likely to listen?

Please don't encourage them to delete it. I don't want to lose the details of Bill Oddie's fights with Peter Purves, Engelbert Humperdinck's professional wrestling career, or how a noble warrior needs two chickens from Morrison's for his tea. And please never delete Betting Shop Characters.

All of that is still out there and traceable on Google and I don't want it ever to disappear.

Humps had in fact been a professional wrestler until refusing to throw a bout with Jackie 'Mr TV' Pallo at the Fairfields Hall, Croydon, in 1968.

Kent Walton had bet a hundred pounds (equivalent to more than that in today's money) on a Pallo victory, and crept into the Humps dressing room beforehand with the offer that it would be "a good week til next week" for the future heart-throb if he would just take things easy that evening.

Humps could barely contain his rage. Vowing to keep it real, he grabbed Walton in an uncompromising half nelson, which he only unlocked when he heard the latter tearfully whimper, "Please release me, Humps. Let me go."

Humps threw a blubbering Walton to the floor, picked up his duffle bag and strode out into the warm, Croydon night, never once looking back.

At that moment he knew his destiny. One day he would land the biggest prize in Eurovision for his country. It might take decades. It might take personal grooming. But one day

Some of the greatest threads seem to have vanished for ever. I can't find any trace of 'Middle Eastern sitcoms' ... Men Beheading Badly, Terry and Jew, My Wives Next Door, The Kumars at No. 42, No. 44, No. 46 ...

There was another one, along the lines of Birds You Don't Fancy But You'd Do Anyway. It featured Harriet Harman giving oral relief in the WC at a wedding reception, and Miranda out of 'Miranda' being pleasured in a Ford Fiesta, with her head sticking out of the sunroof.

I don't think the thread lasted 24 hours.

Using another forum was tried a couple of years ago - I think it was the Basketball forum - but it didn't catch on.
