Probably beat a disappointing bunch very easily. The Nassau would seem the most sensible shout although they might be thinking of dropping Soul Sister back in trip. Thus far the staying fillies don't look an exceptional crop.

J & T G have 3 similar types in the race + Soul and Running in Ribblesdale. One suspects the latter 2 will have bigger fish to fry. Shadwell don't have an entry

Gold seems to be pushing for a mile and a half. Not sure what the evidence is for going up in trip? It wouldn't surprise me if the bookmakers collect a bit more ante-post money when they decide to stay at ten furlongs.

connections saying or words to that effect 10f ideal on breeding but they think she will get 12f, crowley also saying 12f ........when they say that treat with caution ,i wouldnt be punting ante post ,the way she won she will be no value anyway ,wait for the 2 day decs imo.

That today was a better performance then Roaring Lion win at Newmarket over Sumo Sam. Sumo Sam was most probably further along today and was expected to go better then at HQ. She destroyed them without even breaking her rhythm. only 2nd run as well

Not sure Sumo Sam wants soft ground. The run at HQ was on Soft and it physically looked to be struggling on that ground. Could been down to fitness level. Most probably needs 2M, but travelled better today imo.

Sumo Sam's 'good run' at Newmarket was on soft, and her terrible run was on much quicker ground. She had an easy lead yesterday and as soon as they quickened up she was beaten. Given the profile I wouldn't be rushing to back her at a short price in an ordinary maiden. I backed the second, and although clear second best I wouldn't be certain she has even gone forward from her Musidora run. It was a one horse race.

you and the odds compilers are prob right, she was very impressive last time and should go on progressing, been supplemented for this and with top connections, well bred not many negatives at all . it just comes down to price for me and i dont do short prices, i know 4/6 could look massive post race but i will have a few pops at bigger prices ,if she pishes up so be it . she could well hack up here ,many will expect her to win this and the betting suggests she is gonna be very hard to beat here but she is the type i like to take on ie a last time out wide margin winner that has caught the media and publics attention . my problem is i am not a layer 6/4 or whatever to lay dosent interest me and there are 20 odd other well bred fillys in the line up, most of them unexposed and all trying . it could be a rough race and she has only had 2 races and they were small field events . gosdens won 4 of the last 6 runnings of this and obviously knows what it takes . i like a few here at decent odds and will stick a thread up nearer race time . best of luck with her as the odds suggest you will have more chance of collecting than me.

One wonders if all these doubters are conspiring to support the drift - only to lump on the good thing..

Just big players out to get it and take on the favourite. Maybe sensible for the Burke horse but playing with fire when taking on big John. Looks a great price now

Beckett / Dettori have a 26% Strike rate - Doesnt ride that often, but this week they appear to team up quite a bit. Is this the one winner for that combo? has a great record in the race

Rico's response to being completely wrong is "never fails to amaze does horse racing". Let's hope he proves as understanding to others who stick their head above the parapet but get it wrong, rather than ripping them to shreds. Somehow I doubt it.

Can't claim to be one that cashed in Rico but it's clear what their thinking was. Of course sometime drifts are wrong but turned out a shrewd lay at 1.6.

And wins Gold Cup then with 3 run monster lol ..hard to fathom racing so far this yr...wet spring maybe... Think drift down to quick turnaround...you see Jim swinging you think here we go but Warm Heart was devastating... quickened impressively from the box seat..Ryan is riding Ascot so well this yr ..win or lose ..back to form..

Rico we can never be sure but fairly small distance changes do make a big difference in top Group races. Especially if you you go from tight track & modest pace to a stiffer test. Importantly I didn't think the form at Goodwood was too good albeit she certainly showed good speed. I tried to lay IR yesterday but just as I was about to press at 1.85 it went to about 1.45 and having just pics on here didn't press.
