persistently inefficient. Just on effort to start on time. You could have an hour between races they would still be late off

If they started loading at 2.28 there is no way they are getting them all in at before 2.30 especially if they get 1 horse playing up,at least then they are off within a reasonable time, just a good job there are only 2 meetings.

they never do though tantpis. There used to be a rule that voided races starting early. Doesn't exist now. It doesn't matter if a race goes off 30s early. But they seem scared that it may

A race is void if it goes off early, the reason being the SP returns from the course are false.

I am afraid you are mistaken Brassneck. That certainly used to be the rule . But not now.

https://rules.britishhorseracing.com/#!/book/34/chapter/s3375-stewards-powers-objections-and-enquiries/content?section=s3378-voiding-races

Rules H4 and 5 cover the circs in which a race must be or may be declared void. Starting early is not there.

If they did start loading 2 minutes early there is no way they would load 15 horses in 2 minutes

They can always delay loading the last one until the correct start time. There is no will to start races on time at most courses. In some countries they don't start if there is still a queue at the tote/paris mutuel windows but I'm not sure that is the issue here.

TBF, start times in US are even more of a joke - some courses are miles off them

At least we don't have to wait ages for them to load in the US.
