What a horse! The bookies sycophants rubbished him and latched onto Dettori and Arrest - red herring; 6/4 to 8/1. What a price!!

Did some research to find King Of Steel was roughly a 25/1 rag in the Dante Stakes,
when withdrawn. So even more of a surprise.

Also, said had 3 trainers since March (!?)

I backed Auguste Rodin at 20/1 for the Guineas and King Of Steel to beat him in the Futurity. Both ran no race whatsoever so a hugely frustrating result. Military Order totally bombed, and Waipiro fell out of the stalls, and arguably had the worst trip of anything. In the end I doubt he stayed, and no surprise if he is dropped back in trip. Like most of them I doubt Marquand will ever be anything more than a journeyman jock.
