Umm - sorry if this has already been widely discussed, but why is the Derby at 1.30pm? It's normally aroung the 3.45pm mark isn't it? Something to do with security maybe?

My 40s ew on Artistic Star is starting to look interesting.
Moke - fa cup - less people not interested in that than the derby! |

It's alright - sussed it - flippin' cup final innit. Not being a football fan in any shape or form (I hate football), I completely forgot that the final was on this afternoon. It's a pity one is not able to delete one's messages on this forum as I would have done that.

Given my thoughts on the team competition thread. Originally backed Military Order, but I think he needs the old Steve Cauthen type ride, and you couldn't be confident of Buick doing anything like that. He might just be too slow. I have taken a chance on Waipiro reversing the form. The discrepancy in price is just too big. The worry is he might be a 10f horse.
It would be nice to see the Derby produce a great horse, but very unlikely it will be this year. Good luck those having a punt. Derby bets are my only one's as sadly, it is yet another framed for the bookmakers. You have one 5f pin race so what do they do introduce another one, and end the card with five successive handicaps. |

Agree on Waipiro thoughts. Military Order got much the better run round the Lingfield home turn. Tom Marquand is likely to ride him quite prominently and I'm hopeful a little more improvement will see him stay on and finish in first four at least.

Time of that trial
Was very slow Put me right off ![]() |

I was going to make the case for Waipiro win and top 4, but it's already been done! He did look out of steam going past the line and Military Order was pushing on but the discrepancy in price is too far given there are a few aforementioned factors as to why that form could be reversed. I like the idea of the main contenders keeping an eye on each other and Waipiro being allowed to dictate and quicken and hold on to victory!

My main ante post bets have been Sprewell and Arrest (which was 10.5 a week ago).

Went for Dubai Mile & Sprewell ew
I liked DM’s win out in France…grabbed the race by the scruff of the neck and then refused to be beaten. He feels like a Pyledriver type of horse who could bully some of the more lightly raced ones if it turns into a slog. Sprewell cruised around Leopardstown the last day and JH has been very positive about his chances here. He might be the best of the Coolmore horses ;) |

good luck all ,i am warming to white birch and may top up further ,dantes always a decent trial and the step up in trip should suit .

Its The Foxes for me in the place market at 3.7.

Auguste Rodin for me. Every horse can be forgiven for one bad run, and AOB seems very confident that the horse is now firing on all cylinders. The Futurity win was awesome, and if "that" horse turns up here, the others may as well stay in the stalls. Good luck to most of you.
