Riding an unwilling partner (horse) has to one of the most painful sights in racing!!!

Utterly awful viewing - how do the owners allow it

They pay him to beat em, why the authorities allow it is more of a mystery.

Really is. Magical memories in the last at bath, horse was beaten 3 out, the arms and whip flying, it was like watching an elephant trying to stand on a beach ball!!! So uncoordinated and unnecessary

He wouldn’t get a ride in the US

He is the poster boy for Animal RisingMischief

I'd happily take a 'ProCush' to the coont for 15 seconds, see how he likes it.

Bullet, Morris riding a WILLING horse is just as grim a sight and he wouldn't get a job as a work

rider in the US!

How thumping his backside hard down on a horse is helping the animal run is beyond me and, I suspect,

beyond the laws of Physics!

Whoops!

Sorry, wrong thread!

The Saffers spinner Paul Adams got the tag, "frog in a blender" for his rather unusual and extravagant action. Morris is the jockey equivalent. His action is absolutely diabolical to watch for sure.

Put up by just 88 different trainers this year.
Report BULLET TOOTH TONY May 18, 2023 1:32 PM BST
That is shocking
Report BULLET TOOTH TONY May 18, 2023 1:32 PM BST
Clearly has a good agent

Maybe he is an effective jockey.
Report coys May 18, 2023 5:00 PM BST
Such a bad jock that he's ridden over 1000 winners including an Arc
Report saddo May 18, 2023 5:18 PM BST
I expect other jockeys might be more effective if they also applied cruelty. It's not allowed but you'd never know it where Morris is concerned.

When an anti whip campaigner shows his face most will be up in arms against them.

Saddo - You seem to be suggesting that Morris is exempt from the rules?  Why would that be?  He is successful but not absolutely top flight. Perhaps it because he rides for Prescott Bt LaughLaugh

Well, it has taken longer than I thought for Morris' "strike rate" to be mentioned. Almost throughout his career, Morris has ridden anything for anyone virtually anywhere. This is not conducive to a decent strike rate. 13000 rides and 88 different trainers (just this season) are just some of the clues to this.
Report sparrow May 19, 2023 12:57 PM BST
They make me laugh with these jockey statistics which make no distinction between 6/4 chances and 50/1 shots.
Report breadnbutter May 19, 2023 1:07 PM BST
We are talking about the Arc wining jockey?

Never heard of an anti whip campaigner, those against the sport are just  against it full stop, ffs they don't watch races and say look at his style .

Nop, it's only a certain element within that points at LM.

And they weren't heard much b4 he took a job with SMP.
Report blackbarn May 19, 2023 1:51 PM BST
Morris has a ride in the first.  430 on here, for Robert Cowell 4% strike rate at York and no turf winners this year
Report leif May 19, 2023 2:03 PM BST
Why is he whacking a debutant with the shillelagh when it had lost any chance of winning or getting placed?
