Kevin has raised a tremendous amount of money since his good friend Rob Burrow was diagnosed with this awful illness. I must admit I got very emotional and realised I am very fortunate and have no real worries in this world. Respect to both Rob and Kevin.....incredible human beings

Seems both Rugby codes put the prima donna football players to shame when it comes down to looking after their own, humbling event and a reminder of the disease which also took the life of Doddie Weir.
The first time I remember being aware of the disease was the death of David Niven,a truly horrendous condition. Not many will have heard of George Crawford,he was an RAF Police nco and an avid rugby player and charity fund raiser including MND.Sadly he was killed in 1985 having volunteered to be the Police escort on the RAF band coach which crashed in Germany in 1985,a last minute decision. |
